Stopping the conky or killing the conky can be done via a simple command in the terminal.
If you do not want it to restart next time then remove the autostart via the Startup Application.
You can do the same by deleting a file in the hidden folder
with the name start-conky.desktop.
If you never ever want to run a conky again, you can enter the following code in the terminal
sudo apt-get remove conky conky-all
Aureola’s home folder is a hidden one.
Conky’s home folder is also a hidden one.
Anything with the name conky.conf will be started if in the conky’s home folder.
