Based on a wallpaper we like we can change the application icons, the folder icons and the conky.
As pointed out in this article Sardi aims to achieve several objectives. This article proves how modular Sardi icons can be and in this article we will show you also the flexibility. With the use of scripts we can change the colour of the icons.
Let us create Sardi Flexible Tacao combining Sardi Flexible and Sardi Mono Numix Colora.
The procedure to create any new icon theme using the modularity is as follows
- Copy/paste and rename the folder
- Change the index.theme – name and inherits
- Create new icon-theme.cache
- Select new icon theme with theme manager
This tutorial is created on Linux Mint 18.1 Xfce but Sardi is distro independent.
You can create this icon theme on any distro.
Let us create a completely different desktop based on the colours of this wallpaper.
What if we changed Sardi Flexible to fit the wallpaper
What if we change the Sardi Mono Numix Colora icons to match the wallpaper even more.
What if we added a conky to this desktop tuning project
What if we made a new Arc Tacao theme with the Arc Colora project.
Using Sardi, Aureola conky and Arc theme colora we have finetuned all visible elements of our desktop.
