Conky is a free software system monitor.
It is available for Linux. Conky is highly configurable and is able to monitor many system variables including the status of the CPU, memory, swap space, disk storage, temperatures, processes, network interfaces, battery power, system messages, e-mail inboxes, Linux updates, many popular music players, and much more.

Here you see the AP-Weather-White conky on the right of the screenshot. The weather is now set for Antwerp, Belgium. You will have to change that. How to do that is explained here.

The Archlabs Conky Collection is hosted on github. We will continuously add and update conky’s.

How do we get these new additions and corrections the easy way?

Archlabs has a script in the openbox config folder that will make the updating process very easy.
It will be standard available on versions higher than Archlabs 4.0.

This script will make a backup of your current conky folder.

It pays off to see what we changed in the meantime and compare your files with the github files with an application like meld.

Follow the tutorial to have the latest conky’s on your computer.

Super short version how to use the script
