This tutorial can be applied to other distro’s as well.

In  this installation article we have explained you where to download the iso of ARCHLabs, how to install ARCHLabs and how to customize ARCHLabs. We went into detail about the essential parts of openbox like tint2, the conky and the openbox menu. We made also a tutorial how to change the look of ARCHLabs and so on.

When we install ARCHLabs we get a welcome screen where we can choose what to launch. Many linux distro’s have it, some show it and some do not show it. I call it the grub-screen.

What if we could change it …

And what if I tell you:  You do not have to go into a terminal to change your grub-screen.

In order to get this result we need to install grub-customizer from the AUR. We use a script from my github.

This tutorial has been made on my archlabs SSD. So I can not let you see the result in the video and still keep filming…
The next tuturial has been made in virtualbox.

I took the picture when rebooting with my Ipad mini. Focusing is a bit difficult with a dark screen.

Here you have the tutorial made on my VirtualBox. This time you can see me boot and the changes will become apparent.

Lateron I changed the blue again with this result.

Another example with one of the standard wallpapers with ARCHLabs log. The width and height needs to be adapted in order for the circle to remain round but you get the picture. A lot is possible.
