The goal is to make scripts that work on any linux distro that make it easy to change the colours of the Arc-Theme to be found on https://github.com/horst3180/.
Arc is a flat theme with transparent elements for GTK 3, GTK 2 and Gnome-Shell which supports GTK 3 and GTK 2 based desktop environments like Gnome, Unity, Budgie, Pantheon, XFCE, Mate, etc.
The scripts, to change the colour, can be found at my github on https://github.com/erikdubois/arc-theme-colora. They will work on any linux distro.
The result of the scripts are gathered on https://github.com/erikdubois/Arc-Theme-Colora-Collection. (Linux Mint only or GTK 3.18)
Depending on the version of your cinnamon you can download the created themes without building them and copy/paste them in ~/.themes. All is explained on the github. Remember that these themes are updated sporadically. They are build upon the code of the github of Horst3180 at some point in time.
The scripts are tested on other distro’s as well. I tend to keep the created arc themes on my personal github. Check there if I have created Arc themes for Arch, Ubuntu, Solus etc…
If you want an other color accent, you should run the scripts on your setup. It takes about 10-15 minutes depending on your cpu power.
These are all the Arc Themes created with the script and will follow the colour of an icon theme we like.
It will take a lot of MB to show you all 45 themes. Here is just one. Arc-Dark-Casablanca.
